Rich, warm, and resinous; adds golden depth and sensual sweetness.
Amber in perfume is a blend, not a single material. Fossil amber has almost no smell. The amber accord is built from resins and sweet materials such as labdanum, benzoin and vanilla, which together give a warm, golden, slightly powdery glow.
Amber is a base note by nature. It evaporates slowly and holds lighter notes in place while a candle burns or a bar cures, which is why so many blends end on it. It sits comfortably under citrus, florals, leather and smoke alike.
