Rose scent notes

Romantic, fresh petal floral.

Rose oil is among the most expensive oils produced. Rose otto is steam distilled from Rosa damascena petals, much of it in Bulgaria's Valley of Roses, and it takes an enormous harvest to make a small amount. Most rose in fragrance oils is built from molecules found in the flower, such as phenylethyl alcohol, geraniol and citronellol.

Rose sits in the heart of a blend. It suits pear and lily of the valley for something fresh, or patchouli for something darker and older in style.
