Woody scent notes

Woody is the general wood character at the bottom of a blend: dry, smooth and steady, built from cedar, sandalwood, vetiver and modern woody molecules rather than a single tree.

Woody is a base note. It gives florals and fruit a floor to stand on and keeps sweet blends from turning cloying. For a specific wood, look at the cedarwood, sandalwood and patchouli notes.
