Colder temperatures and chilly winds can be as unkind to hair as they are to skin. This whipped hair mask is made with coconut oil, sweet almond oil and shea butter to nourish dry hair and lock in moisture. Rosemary, lavender and cedarwood essential oils scent the mask. Hair care is often overlooked in holiday gift sets, so a jar of this mask also makes a good gift for friends and family with colored or processed hair.
Ingredients
- 4 oz of Unrefined Coconut Oil
- 4 oz of Sweet Almond Oil
- 2 oz of Unrefined Shea Butter
- 2.5 mL of Rosemary Essential Oil
- 2.5 mL of Lavender Essential Oil
- 2.5 mL of Cedarwood Essential Oil
Instructions
Add the coconut oil, sweet almond oil and shea butter to a bowl. Using an electric hand mixer, whip the oils together until they form a fluffy, creamy consistency. Add the essential oils and mix again until thoroughly combined. Scoop into airtight containers for storage. Store the mask in a cool, dark location away from children and pets.
How to Use
Apply a generous amount of the mask evenly throughout the hair. Massage it in from the roots to the tips, then comb through your hair with your fingers. Optional: cover your head with a hot towel for at least 10 minutes. Leave the mask on for up to 20 minutes. Shampoo and condition hair as normal. Repeat once a week.
