Lavender Essential Oil for Soap Making
Lavender essential oil is a favorite among many people because of its numerous aromatherapy and topical benefits, which is why it’s a great addition to any handmade soap recipe. In fact, one of the earliest known uses for lavender was in soap. Lavender’s crisp, clean, and floral fragrance makes it favored among soap makers and soap users alike. Lavender can stand alone as a fragrance for soap but is also great for blending with other essential oils. Try lavender on its own or combine with other beneficial essential oils to fit your specific soap needs.
The highly concentrated fragrance of lavender essential oil has been known to reduce stress and anxiety, relieve headaches, and promote a better night's sleep. Using lavender soap before bedtime can help us achieve a deep sleep. Similarly, lavender hand soap can be used throughout the day to promote calmness and relaxation. A warm bath or shower with lavender soap could be just the ticket to help ease a headache and help you relax. Lavender essential oil can also be used in soap designed for washing laundry, dishwashing soap, and household cleaners. Using lavender soap products all around your household can help transform your home into a comfortable and relaxing environment.

These properties also make lavender soap useful in treating skin infections, scabies, and eczema. Combining lavender essential oil with a gentle and moisturizing soap recipe makes the perfect bar for combatting a variety of skin issues and leaving you with happy, healthy skin.
Here are a couple simple yet effective soap recipes that really allow the benefits of lavender essential oil to shine.
