This unforgettable DIY broom spray was born from one of the best product reviews we've ever received. After dropping an entire bottle of our Pistachio Salted Caramel fragrance on her concrete floor, Ashley found herself crying, sweeping, and realizing—her broom smelled amazing. The scent lingered through multiple washes and even took two sanitize cycles (and vinegar) to finally leave her dishwasher.

We couldn’t let that accidental magic go to waste. Inspired by Ashley’s chaos-turned-comedy, we crafted Ashley’s Sweet Sweep, a simple, dessert-scented broom spray that brings joy to everyday cleaning. If you’ve ever wished your dustpan smelled like dessert—this one’s for you.

Ashley’s Sweet Sweep Broom Spray

Ingredients

  • 30 drops Pistachio Salted Caramel Fragrance

  • 10 drops Vanilla Fragrance

  • 6 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil

  • 1.5–2 tbsp witch hazel or grain alcohol (to help emulsify oils)

  • Distilled water (to fill the bottle to 8 oz after adding oils and alcohol)

Directions

  1. In your clean 8 oz spray bottle, add your fragrance & essential oils.

  2. Add witch hazel or alcohol. Pour in 1.5–2 tablespoons of witch hazel or grain alcohol. This helps the oils disperse in the water.

  3. Top with distilled water. Fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water, leaving about a half-inch of space at the top to allow for shaking.

  4. Shake well. Secure the spray cap and shake vigorously to combine.

  5. Use as needed. Lightly mist broom bristles, dustpans, or even the air around your cleaning space for a sweet, comforting scent while you clean.
