Distilled from the leaves of the Bitter Orange. Similar to Neroli but with more of a spicy peppery note. Pleasant addition to perfume blends. Refreshing and uplifting to the spirit.
Petitgrain Oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the Bitter Orange Tree. The oil has very citrusy and floral aroma to it. Blends well with bergamot, palmarosa, lemon, geranium, jasmine, ylang ylang, eucalyptus, oakmoss, sandalwood, benzoin, cedarwood, lavender, rose, orange, marjoram, clary sage, patchouli, rosemary, frankincense, clove, and mandarin. Most commonly used in the perfume world because of its appealing scent, it is also used in other body fragrances including body sprays, fragrance lotions, and colognes. This oil has a wonderful effect on the mind and body giving it an overall calm, relieving it of stress, anxiety, that overwhelmed feeling, aids with concentration, and can also assist those suffering from insomnia. Also is used in many cosmetics aside from perfumes, it has such a pleasant aroma it is used in lotions, skin care products and hair care products. Petitgrain oil is a natural antidepressant, other properties of this oil include being a carminative, a natural deodorizer, stomachic, antiseptic, nervine, and a stimulant.
