Citric Acid Pure
Citric acid is great for making Fizzy Bath Balls. See below for a great recipe.
Fizzy Bath Ball Recipe
You will need:
2 tablespoons citric acid
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup baking soda
1/4 tsp essential oil or fragrance oil
3-6 drops food color
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
For larger batches, increase the above portions . Tip: Any vegetable oil can be used (coconut, avocado, walnut, apricot kernel,sweet almond etc.) Add a small amount of mixed tocopherals to your oil mixture as a perservative.
1.) Mix all dry ingredients: citric acid, baking soda, cornstarch, in a bowl.
2.) Mix the vegetable oil, essential or fragrance oil, and coloring in a seperate bowl.
3.) Slowly mix the liquid mixture with the dry ingredients.
4.) Form small 1 inch balls of the mixture and place them on waxed paper to dry. (If the mixture will not form balls becuase it is to dry add more vegetable oil) It takes 24-48 hours for fizzy bath balls to dry completely. They should be completely dry before wrapping or storing.
5.) Store bath balls in a tightly sealed container, away from moisture, or wrap with plastic or cellophane for individual balls.
6.) Use in a hot bath!! They make great gifts too!!
